4 cardinal values for leading a meaningful life !

Many western philosophers particularly Greek philosophers and stoics stressed a lot about following four cardinal values that are essential for living a good and virtuous life.

They guide our actions and help us to make sound judgments and decisions.

Following are those four values that ultimately help you to achieve a fulfilling life:

1. Wisdom:

The ability to make sound judgments and decisions based on knowledge and understanding rather than being swayed by emotion or personal bias.

It helps us to see the bigger picture and to understand the consequences of our actions.

2. Courage:

The willingness to face danger or difficulty without being overwhelmed by fear.
Courage is often seen as a cornerstone virtue, along with wisdom, justice, and temperance, because it helps us to face challenges and difficulties without being overwhelmed by fear.
It gives us the strength and determination to do what is right, even in the face of danger or adversity.

In addition to being an important personal quality, courage is also essential for the well-being of society.
Courageous leaders and citizens can stand up for what is right and just, even in the face of opposition or danger, and can help to create a more just and fair society.

3. Temperance:

The ability to moderate one's desires and actions, particularly with regard to pleasure and indulgence.

It helps us to maintain balance and self-control, and to avoid excess or extreme behaviors.

In addition to being an important personal quality, temperance is also essential for the well-being of society.

It can help to prevent conflicts and problems that can arise from indulging in excess or engaging in reckless or irresponsible behavior.

4. Justice:

The quality of being fair and upholding what is right and fair.

It is seen as a fundamental quality that is necessary for living a good and virtuous life, both personally and in the broader context of society.
